Eleven IT companies from Bucharest join forces to train students, March 2015. ZF Corporate, for subscribers. Readable part: the opening. The same day, Ziarul Financiar named me, then co-founder and managing partner of Tremend, president of Different Angle Cluster, a newly founded group of Bucharest companies. Different Angle launched on 26 March 2015 with eleven member companies, Tremend among them (Today Software Magazine).

Romania is among the first five countries in the world by number of IT specialists, after countries such as the US and India. The eleven firms: seven local software providers and four other companies.

A fierce competition for people

Headline: “It’s a fierce competition for people” („E o competiţie acerbă pe oameni”). The free part does not name the speaker.

Elsewhere. Ziarul Financiar, 2015, the same day: “It almost comes to cannibalisation in order to meet the demand for IT specialists.” („Aproape că se ajunge la o canibalizare pentru a putea suplini cererea de specialişti IT“)

Eleven members, one shortage

The cluster’s members (Today Software Magazine): Econo-heat, eSolutions Grup, Evolva Trend Consultant, Gemini Solutions, GreenTree Applications, Lasper Human Development, Nemetschek România Sales&Support, Power Net Consulting, Qualitance, RezolvIT and Tremend. Its stated goals include knowledge transfer between universities and companies and reducing the shortage of specialised IT&C staff in Bucharest. What I said about the cluster’s objectives: the GPeC report of its launch.
