Short article from the ZF Live interview, October 2016. I was then co-founder and managing partner of Tremend. Topics: Tremend’s work for WorthPoint, a US platform that values old objects from a phone, and Tremend’s growth. The rest of the same interview: ZF Live article on the specialist deficit.
A platform for valuing old objects
A Tremend team had been working for some time for an American company on WorthPoint, a platform with recognition data going back to the year 1600. Its use: from a phone, find out how old the furniture at home, the tableware left by a grandmother or other objects are, and how much they are worth.
The work was not new in 2016. In May 2015 Worthpoint was already among the mobile applications Tremend had developed for foreign clients (Ziarul Financiar, 2015).
Four Romanian partners, 100 employees
Tremend: four Romanian partners and 100 employees. Business growth of 399%, behind its 37th place in the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 for Central and Eastern Europe, the best ranking of a Romanian company that year.
