Start-up.ro, 2022: 150 interns, real projects and the first people in a career

Tremend’s IT internship, July 2022: 150 students from across Romania. Statements from Simona Șunel, Head of People Strategy, and from me, as co-founder of Tremend.

§150 students, real projects

The 2022 disciplines, which Tremend calls crafts: data science, AI, embedded and semiconductors, agile management, business analysis, quality engineering and experience engineering, among others. The interns work on solutions for banking, telecom, healthcare services, education and financial services, with IoT, AI and machine learning. Tremend at the time: almost 1,000 software engineering experts.

Simona Șunel, Head of People Strategy: since the 2015 pilot, more than 350 students have completed the internship in 13 cities in Romania, and over 80% of them received a job offer. Interns work on real projects, from the company’s internal portal and learning platform to risk management systems, with coaching and mentoring from the first day.

§The first people in their professional life

For the people at Tremend, the internship is by far one of the most emotional moments of the year. The energy and passion of the youngest members of the team: “a catalyst for all of us” („un catalizator pentru noi toți”).
